The life goes on

Because of the long classes, I have everyday enough time to finish my few homeworks in the school. That means that I have after school enough freetime to hang out with family or friends, making sightseeing, going to eat in all the awesome fast food restaurants and more. For short - I enjoy my life!

Every Sunday we are going to the church (Baptist). The church here is very different from the german one. A huge Gospel choir is part of every service, the pastor is dressed with a normal Jacket and is discussing with the people like a politican about the holy bible. That is every time a very impressive experience. I'm also attending a youthgroup every wednesday and at sundays before church. That's a lot of fun, the guys there are very nice, you can eat unlimited donuts and more and they have a basketball team where I am playing now.

Walmart, Americas favorite retail, seems like a part of the US culture.

Here is from everything more than enough!

Another day I enjoyed a delicious Double Cheeseburger at Wendy's, one of the worlds best Fastfood restaurants.

And Friday night is Football night!

This weekend we visited Family members who are living in Jackson, the Capital City of Mississippi.
Jackson is a very beautiful and impressive City. Many parts of the city looking like in the 60's and there a also few restaurants and stores in this style.
The movie "The Help" is filmed on many of the places I visited in Jackson.

John`s Educationplan

Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen!

The Tupelo High School is using since one year a different kind of class schedule, a block schedule. The year is splited in two Semesters, and in four 9-week terms. Everyday I attend 4 different classes, which are two hours long. Every term I have new classes.
Because of the long classes you have enough time to learn intensive and you have enough time to finish your homework.

For my schedule I chose the following classes:

Semester 1
Term 1
  • Physical Education
  • Physical Educatin, Weightlifting
  • Short Storys
  • English 3 AP, Language & Comprehension

Term 2
  • Health
  • US Government
  • English 3 AP, Language & Comprehension
  • Cross Country

Semester 2
Term 3
  • Broadcast Journalism
  • Algebra 2
  • Spanish 1
  • Human Anatomy and Physiology

Term 4
  • Broadcast Journalism
  • Algerba 2
  • Spanish 1
  • Human Anatomy and Physiology

Because of my move from Washington to Mississippi, I passed here the first six weeks of Term 1, which is why I chose easy classes which I can easily catch up.
