One of the 45 Million Turkeys who are sit on Americas dinnertables at thanksgiving!

Delicious!

An other part of the Thanksgiving tradition is the Macy´s Parade in New York City. An event where artists, bands and prominents walk thru the City with huge baloons in every form.

Charles Brown and Snoopy hovered thru the Streets of New York City.

To end this awesome day in a perfect way, we watched the whole evening football!

The day after Thanksgiving was Blackfriday. On this day all stores in the United States sell their products at a much cheaper price than normally. To get the very hot deals, people camp the night before in front of the Stores to be there on time, when the doors open at midnight!

And every four weeks, is an exchange student meeting.

Spain, Germany & Thailand

With the youthgroup of my church I made a trip to Pickwick, Tennessee.

Attending here the Church is a lot of fun, you discuss about football, eat donuts and at the end you speak a little bit about the bible. And soon the Church-basketball saison starts!

Last Sunday I went to the only Catholic Church here in Tupelo. The irish Pastor with his strong accent made the worship  to a interesting experience.

At the same day, Kevin took me to a old battelfield of the American Civil War out in the country around Tupelo.

Sport was the main activity this weekend.
Friday Night: Ice Hockey

Tennessee vs. Mississippi

Saturday: College Football

Mississippi State vs. Arkansas

Mississippi has two big Colleges: The University of Mississippi, also known as Ole Miss, and The Mississippi State Universiy.
These two are the biggest rivals, specially in American Football. As an Civilizen of the State Mississippi, the first decision anybody has to do is the decision between the Ole Miss Rebels  or the Mississippi State Bulldogs . For most of the students are these places also the two options they have when they decide the College they want to attend after graduating from high school.
Everybody in my Hostfamily is Hardcore-Ole Miss-fan. So we would never pay to go to a football game of the Mississippi State Bulldogs. But when a friend gave us free tickets to a Bulldogs game, we broke tradition and went the first time to the Stadium in Starkville. Because when a football team from Mississippi is playing against Arkansas, than it isn´t important from which college they are, important is a win for the State of Mississppi! And that is what we got.

Sunday night, the Hitt family is watching the Saints game. Suddenly the doorbel rings and the mailman brings a big package. It is the Thanksgiving-package from Germany, with many little delicious things.

Thanksgiving is soon and now also the weather starts to get a little bit colder, because it is autum.
