At the Masters 2013

One week ago, on april 12th, Bailey and I got out of School to travel to Augusta, Georgia and spend the Weekend with Patsys family. She was already there for a few days, and we all stayed in her Cousin Jeanne's house. We had a great time together with Jeanne, her husband Mike and their children Amanda & David.

On our way to Augusta!

Augusta is a beautiful city and actually the birthplace of my wonderful american mom. It is really famous for it's golf course where every year the worlds best golfers come together to play in the most prestigious golf tournament, the Masters!
Golf legends like Tiger Woods come here every year to challenge eachother in one of the most classiest sports. The winner of the tournament gets not only a huge amount of money, he also gets to wear the legendary green jacket, that only champions and club members can wear.

Condoleezza Rice, the first female Club member.

Only a few people from around the world get the chance to go to this four day tournament and be a part of it.
I was very honored to be one of these few people. My host family has two tickets every year that they share with friends. They took me to the Masters onsunday, the final tournament day. It was one of the greatest and most awesome experiences of my life! I can not put in words my appreciation to my lovely american family for taking me to this legendary event.

The Ticket to the Masters Golf Tournament 2013

The only closer golf experience I had before was playing mini golf, and now I went to the Masters!!
Watching the Pros hitting the ball hundreds of yards with perfect accuracy and controlling it with the right spin was epic!

Adam Scott from Australia

Vijay Singh from the republic of Fijii

The whole golf course is a huge piece of perfection. The gras is so short that it seems like fake. There is no trash, no leave, no animals on the ground. The sunshine reflects on the surface of the clean water. And everything is surounded by beautiful flowers that are blooming in many different colors.

The legendary Amen Corner

Patsy and Bailey went to the tournament on saturday and David and I went on sunday, to see the final round!
The weather was gorgeous when we went out there. We got to see all the famous golfers live, and stood so close to them that I even got to talk to the young german golf legend Martin Kaymer!

This year, Guan Tianlang from china played in the Masters as the youngest player in the history of the tournament. He is only fourteen years old!

We also saw Bernhard Langer, a two times Masters champion from Germany!

Tiger Woods, the maybe most famous golfer in the world, played the the tournament and was always followed by a huge crowd of fans!

The course has 18 holes that each golfer has to play every day of the tournament. The player with the best final score wins.

In the evening we all stood at the 18th hole, to see all the golfers coming thru and making their final shots. After a while it started raining which made the game much more interesting! Now the players had more troubles controlling the ball.

At the end, the two favorites Adam Scott from australia and Angel Cabrera from argentina had a tight and had to play a playoff to get the the final winner. This was a really unusual situation, which was pretty awesome.

After an incredible tournament and an amazing playoff, Adam Scott from australia won the Masters 2013! In an nice celebration he took on the green jacket.

America - da bomb!!

Spring Break 2013! My awesome american family took me to Denver, Colorado, to visit my oldest hostbrother Matt and his girlfriend. The beautiful City, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, welcomed us with an bad snow storm, so that we tried to get into the warm Hotel as fast as possible.

Our hotel was just really gorgeous and had an big waterfall in the lobby, a swimming pool and a fitnesscenter. My hostmom and me shared a room, while Bailey slept most of the time over in Matts apartment. Unfortunately Kevin couldn't come with us, because he had to work.

We went sightseeing and shopping in downtown, and had a great time togheter.

Back in Tupelo I just stayed really healthy for the rest of the week.

The week got more and more incredible when our Ole Miss Rebels won the South Eastern Basketball Conference and made it into the second round in the National Championship!

It was just legendary!!! Hotty Toddy Ladies & Gentleman, Hotty Toddy!

To end this great week in a really awesome way, Bailey and me went together with an friend of us to the Monster Jam. A real American Redneck experience!

The following weekend Kevin took Bailey and me to visit his Motorcycle Buddy who works at a Military Helicopter facility here in Tupelo. We got to walk around and get first hand Informations about American Military Helicopters.

And then it was there. The biggest night in an american teenagers high school life. Prom.
It is an formal Dance where you have to be invited to by a guy. The Boy is picking up his date at her parents house and they ride together with friends in a limousine or a little bus to dinner and to the ball.
Bailey & me also rent a huge limousine together with some friends, ate, took pictures, drove around and had just an incredible time at the ball!

At my first trackmeet at the following weekend I competed in the 100 & 300 meter hurdle races. I came in 2nd and 4th place and had a great time with my awesome teammates. It was definitely a great experience!

I just handled it with my daily Masterswag.

And then it was already Easter! Unfortunately I couldn't go to the service in church because of a sudden flu that forced me to stay in my bed for the next few days. But the american Easterbunny didn't Forget me and brought me a wonderful Easterbucket!

This Weekend I went with some of the other Exchange students to Memphis, to see a Minor leauge Baseball game from the Memphis Redbirds. Before the game we spent some time walking thru the famous Beale Street, where the Hard Rock Cafe is located.

The Redbirds lost the game, but we still had a great time in the beautiful Stadium. And the aftershow even included a firework!

Next Weekend we'll go to the Masters, the biggest Golf tournament in the world! I'm really lucky & happy that I get to go to this great event and am looking forward to that!
Keep it classy
