Keeping it classy

First of all I want to apologize to all of you that it took me so long to update my blog again. In the last two months we had a lot going on, from family activities & school work, to sport events and more!
After a wonderful Christmas & New Year party with my American family, the second semester at Tupelo High School started already. My new classes are Broadcast Journalism, Algebra 2, Debate/Public Speaking and Anatomy/Physiology.  Every day I have after school Track practice, where I am running in the short distance, hurdles, and am part of the pole-vaulting team.
Spending time with my family is great, school is fun, and I have incredible friends!

In early January we went to “Disciple Now”, a church event for all the youth groups in Tupelo, where you worship together, attend seminars and concerts to learn to believe and study god’s word and get closer to him. In our free time, we went to a skating hall, and ate at waffle house (one of the most awesome food places in America!) There I also got the honor to meet the chick-fil-a cow

Our girls-soccer-team made it into the the state championship games. So I drove with friends  to Jackson, MS to watch our Ladywave on the field. We lost, but it was still awesome! And on the way to Jackson we stopped at a beautiful old Mississippi farm, that looked exactly like in the movies!

At baileys birthday we ate an amazing American-Birthday-Cookie-cake! It was so delicious and bailey had a great 17th birthday!

In February we celebrated the Black History Month in school. Over the day we listened to different guest speakers and our Band & Gospel choir made awesome music!

Because we all love Ole Miss, we just went again to Oxford, MS, to visit the University. It is such an awesome place and it’s every time great to go there! And they have good restaurants over there too, so it's pretty awesome.

At the beginning of March, Bailey and I went to see the Harlem Globetrotters, the Kings of Basketball. In an amazing Basketball game this group of great athletes performed a incredible show full of dunks and flips. They played this sport like a boss!

Valentine’s Day. And the teenager girls got crazy! A day so full of lovely pink flowers, balloons, chocolate & hyperactive people in love. But at the end of the day you feel sick, because you eat so much sweets!
I swear I could smell the love in the air!

This month we went again to see Ole Miss playing. This time in Starkville, MS, against our biggest, most hated rival! The Mississippi State Bulldogs.
We lost after the maybe worst and most embarrassing college basketball game I’ve ever seen. Nobody expected that and it was awful, but our love to Ole Miss will never die!

At a friend’s house I had the honor to meet Pip, a flying squirrel!
She lives in the bathroom, where she has enough room to fly!

With my broadcast journalism I produce a weekly school broadcast, where we inform about school news and more! We are working as editor, cameraman, interviewer or anchor. It is awesome!

Here is our newest broadcast, from the beginning of March. You can also watch & download our broadcast at Itunes under https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/wths-wths-weekly/id579746321?mt=2.

WTVA, the local news center gives us the opportunity to produce a half hour show in their program! For this upcoming show a friend and I went to the Tupelo city Hall to interview the Mayor, Jack Reed. It was a really cool experience being a part of a professional press conference, and work together with the TV. The mayor actually knew my German hometown, because he went there once with his family. And when we talked about football, he started playing football in his office with me. I played with an American politician football ladies & gentleman!! It was AWESOME!

Shortly after my political experience with the Mayor, I went with a friend to the first country concert in my life! In an arena full of Americans with boots & cowboy hats the “Band Perry” and the “Rascal Flatts” made all the Mississippi country boys & girls get crazy! It was an amazing experience. But after all I will still stay with my rap & hip hop music.
